Health & Safety
Health & Safety plays an important role in our company, with both an in house health and safety committee and an external health and safety consultancy on board we take health and safety very seriously. Many of employees are IOSH certificated with 100 per cent of employees being CSCS accredited.
We provide our employees with both regular in house training and tool box talks as well as external training were we attend many different venues in order to raise the bar for health and safety within our company.
Our health and safety management system policies are perminantly being reviewed in order to ensure we are at the forefront of any changes so these changes can be passed down through the company so every employee is aware.
General Statement of Policy
It is the policy of Bowshers Electrical Services Ltd to comply with the terms of the Health and Safety At Work Act 1974 and subsequent legislation and to provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
Bowshers Electrical Services Ltd Health and Safety objective is to minimize the number of instances of occupational accidents and illnesses and ultimately to achieve an accident free workplace.
All employees will be provided with such equipment, information, training and supervision necessary to implement the policy and achieve the stated objective.
Bowshers Electrical Services Ltd recognize and accept their duty to protect the health and safety of all visitors to the company, including contractors and temporary workers, as well as any members of the public who might be affected by our operations. While the management of Bowshers Electrical Services Ltd will do all that is within their powers to ensure the health and safety of its employees, it is recognized that health and safety at work is the responsibility of each and every individual associated with the company. It is the duty of each employee to take reasonable care of their own and other peoples welfare and to report any situation which may pose a threat to the well being of any other person.
The management of Bowshers Electrical Services Ltd will provide every employee with the necessary training in order to carry out their tasks safely. However, if an employee is unsure how to perform a certain task or feels it would be dangerous to perform a specific job, it is the employees duty to report this to their supervisor or Bowshers Electrical Services Ltd management. An effective health and safety programme requires continuos communication between all workers at all levels. It is there every workers responsibility to report, immediately, amy situation which could jeoprodise the well being of themselves or any other person.
All injuries, however small, sustained by a person at work must be reported to the supervisor or a member of management. Accident records are crucial to the effective monitoring and revision of the policy and must therefore be accurate and comprehensive. Bowshers Electrical Services Ltd Health and Saftey Policy will be continually monitoredand updated, particularly when changes in the scale and nature of the operations occur.

ECA – Electrical Contractors Association, which provides “Guarantee of Completion” and many other additional advantages to both client and company.
NICEIC – National Inspection Council for Electrical Contracting including Building Regulations Part P Self Certification registered.
We are regularly assessed by both the ECA and NICEIC on our site work and administration procedures and constantly achieve excellent results.
